The brief
An applicant tracking system built around the recruiter rather than the hiring manager, run as a platform where every agency is its own tenant workspace. Two constraints shaped the architecture. Identity had to be a standalone service, so a second product could federate to the same sign-in without inheriting the ATS’s notion of agencies and roles. And a job marked confidential had to stay invisible to the rest of its own agency — including through every submission, interview and search result that merely names it, which is why that rule is defined once and every query touching a job goes through it.
